Megan’s Muffins is the new baking sensation taking over the Todmorden area with her name being heard further afield each day. But if you haven’t tried one of Megan’s treats I’m here to tell you what they’re all about. 

As you can probably tell, Megan started off baking muffins (too many for her family and friends to consume) and so decided to set up her own little home bakery where people could come and pick up their treats. She does pretty much any flavour you can think of, and if she doesn’t have it in, she’ll get it in so that she can make exactly what you want. She started with the well-known favourites; Jammy Dodger, Custard Cream, Oreo etc and now creates all sorts of things like 99 flake ice-cream muffins, Lemon Meringue Pie muffins, S’mores muffins (these ones are AMAZING!). She’ll even do birthday/celebration muffins with any decoration you like. Got a friend who’s into dinosaurs? She’ll do it.

So, when the muffins took off, she moved onto brownies, blondies and rocky road and soon the whole of the town knew who Megan was. Like the muffins, Megan can do pretty much any flavour but I personally love the Biscoff Blondie and Kinder Brownie. She also recently made Battenberg blondies which were to die for. She also posts her brownies and blondies, so if you’re not near Todmorden don’t worry she will post them to your house so that you can join in the fun!

And the icing on the cake (see what I did there), she also makes cakes for every occasion. 1 tier, 2 tier, chocolate, victoria sponge, lemon, naked, icing, themed? she’ll do it! Here are some of her recent ones… Remember that dinosaur friend?

She will be taking part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this Saturday 28th September where you can visit Megan’s house (247 Halifax Road, Todmorden) to try them for yourself. All proceeds go to Macmillan Cancer Support so come and have a cake for a good cause!
